No time!

I would update more often, but I can't because I'm so busy I think I might lose my mind. The only reason I am able to type this now is because Aiden and Lexie are for once napping at the same time, and Julia is playing Barbies in her room. And I thought about blogging at a time when I actually had a moment to spare.

Now it looks like Wally won't be home until the end of February rather than the middle. Blah. It would be so much easier if he were home! This internship comes with a lot of responsibilities outside of the classroom (paperwork, bi-weekly reports, reflections, preparing lessons, etc). I need about 2-3 more hours each day to get everything done: homework, housework, laundry,...so some things have to slide until I have time.

So, to anyone reading this, if you email or call and I don't respond as quickly as I once did, please do not take offense. Also, Wally is extremely busy at work and has very little free time so he is slow on returning calls and emails too. He has to work seven days a week, and over 12 hours each day. We talk while I am dropping the kids at school and going to class, somtimes we manage a few mins at lunch, and then he always makes sure to call before Aiden goes to bed. He calls me again after his dinner and before he falls asleep...usually after 9 or 10pm. But that's not much time to talk to your husband. It doesn't feel like enough, but we manage.

We have a routine of talking to Daddy on speakerphone before bedtime. The minute Aiden hears me say "time to go to bed" he starts saying "dada? dada?" and he will actually go looking for the phone. He gives it to me and looks at me like "Okay, call him!" He stays on the phone with us while I tuck Aiden in, and they say good night to each other. Then Wally talks to Julia about her day because he is usually in a meeting at her bedtime.

Poor Wally, when he makes that bedtime call, he is usually on his way to a 7 or 8pm meeting! I feel so bad for him and wish they would allow the guys at least one day off per week. He needs to rest!

They have set up this huge satellite TV thingie (forgive the non-technical term) in the woods (where the soldiers train) to watch the Superbowl tonight. The other night I was teasing him because we were both so stoked about the premiere of LOST and they had a meeting. I told him, "You have a TV set up in the forest to watch the Superbowl, but you still have to go the meeting on LOST night? Where are their priorities?!" Luckily, he got out in time and was able to watch the premiere. However, he had hooked up a DVR at the office just in case he missed it. Where he got a DVR and WHY, I have no clue. Wally just needs technological equipment wherever he goes! ;) I don't ask questions anymore.

Okay, so this incredibly long post makes up for the fact that I haven't updated in awhile, right guys?
Hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you all again soon! Maybe not till the end of the semester though! LOL

PS: I miss you LM! :)
