Halloween 2009

This year Lexie dressed up as a cat.  She loves cats and calls them "me-mows."  Aiden dressed up as Spiderman (minus the mask...he wasn't into it).  And Julia dressed up as a Gothic cheerleader.  We worked hard to pull this costume together, scoring the perfect cheerleader outfit from the thrift store and pairing it with soccer socks and cleats, plus lots and lots of layers! It's cold on Halloween here!

There go our little trick-or-treaters!

Julia and her friend, Nicole.

Julia kept giving people this look all night, and they'd ask me why she was so unhappy. I told them she was in character and then they laughed!

October Fun

Here's what we've been up to lately!

Sweet Lexie, hanging out in the playroom at home.

On a walk...

Lex calls pom poms "shake-a shake-a's" :)

Love my "big strong man" as he calls himself!

Gamecock fans watching Julia cheer!

Time to carve pumpkins!

Scary Face pumpkin and Lexie's Dora pumpkin

Pokemon pumpkins: Aiden's Charmander and Julia's Haunter

The girls, outside with the pumpkins.  Aiden was not in a picture taking mood tonight!

Julia Grace

Our sweet Julia Grace.

She's the smartest 2nd grader I've ever met...

...a Brownie...

...and a great sister.

They call her "Ya-ya" :)

She's a loving daughter...

...a total goofball...

...a kind friend....

...and quite possibly the most beautiful seven year old on the planet! We are so lucky to be the parents of this amazing girl!

Snow in October?!

This is unexpected.  Snow. On October 15th.

It started off slowly...

By mid-afternoon, our backyard looked like this:

Unfortunately, Julia was at Brownies and missed out on the snow play...but these guys sure enjoyed it!

My poor flowers!

Wurzburg, Germany

We spent a great day in Wurzburg today.

Wally and Aiden walking up to the palace, called The Residenz.

The kids at the entrance

In the wine cellar, having a tasting

Outside The Residenz

Vineyards across the river

Back toward the marktplatz...St. Killian Dom, a four-towered cathedral, in the distance.

Inside the Dom

Great trip, but plenty more to explore in this beautiful city! We'll be back!
