Aiden this morning: Mommy, I wish and wish and wish....dat it would be Ha-yo-ween again today!
Me: I know you do, but we'll have Halloween again next year, right?
Aiden: Yes. But Mommy? Can I wear my Ha-yo-ween costume again for Tanks-gibbon? (Thanksgiving) Me: Sure, buddy.
Whatever works, right?
Lexie:
Several times today I have been told "Yee yone!" (Leave alone!) when she doesn't like what I'm telling her to do! Right now she's mad because I said no more candy tonight. She's giving me the LOOK! Wow, the teenage years are gonna be rough!
Lexie has also been calling pineapple "apple-boo" lately...? Not sure where that came from, but it's funny :)
Aiden got reprimanded tonight and his response was "Mommy, sometimes people make mi-takes!" I said "You're right, buddy" 5 minutes later I got the same response when I asked him not to do something. I told him "Yes, sometimes people make mistakes, but sometimes people still get in trouble if they keep making the same mistakes!" He was very serious and said "Okay Mommy, I won't do dat."
Wally was trying to encourage Aiden to eat more of his dinner by telling him that they could watch Pokemon together when he was done. Aiden told him "Daddy! Dis not your business! It Mommy's business!" ....yeah, that didn't go over so well... Funny though
So when it's cold and wet, the hay bales in the fields are wrapped in this white plastic to protect them. Aiden points and says "Look Mommy! Look at doze big marshmallows!"
Aiden was scratching his butt. We asked him if he was itchy and he said "no, my have poop sauce." Sure enough, took him to the bathroom and he had let just a little bit of diarrhea out. We got him new underwear, but can't get over the "poop sauce" comment. Where do you get something like that?
Lexie is not being very good for Daddy while I am cooking. She came in here crying and I asked her "Are you being bad to the bone?" (which usually makes her laugh) and she said "Yeah!" (crying).... I said "Why?" and she said "Cuz my want yooooouuu, Mommy" Aw, how can I argue with that? Now she's sitting on the counter "helping," singing, and yelling "My weet tayos!" (my sweet potatoes).
"yike a di-yah in da guy!" Lexie is saying this on repeat today, driving us crazy!! It's "Like a diamond in the sky" from Twinkle Little Star.
So we are watching a Christmas movie and Lexie holds a baby wipe up to her face (like a beard) and yells "Look Mama! HO HO HO!!" What a crazy (but smart!) girl!
