Julia brought home these sweet Valentines that she wrote to Wally and me.
Dear Mom,
Thank you for taking care of me. You feed and buy clothes for me and I appreciate that. Another thing that you do for me is like cleaning my room and helping me with my homework. Thank you for everything! Love, Julia
Dear Dad,
I remember when we went to the manatees in Melbourne. It was fun because we got to fish, watch boats, and best of all, touch the manatees. I can't wait till you come home. Love, Jul
I love this cause whenever Julia shortens "Daddy" to Dad, Wally also shortens her name and calls her "Jul" so that is how she signed his.
Every year on Valentine's Day, our family tradition is steak for dinner and chocolate fondue for dessert. We slice bananas and strawberries for dipping, along with marshmallows and sometimes graham crackers. The kids love it! So we did that this year even though Daddy wasn't here. My students hooked me up with cards, candy, and even a stuffed animal. I missed Wally though :(
A few funny things from the little guys:
I noticed lately that Lexie's been calling cantaloupe "canta-melon"...totally makes sense right? She's a funny girl.
The other day Aiden told me, "Mommy, I love you all the way to the moon...and China!" Then the next morning he said, "I love you so much, you're the best girl in town!" I don't know where all this is coming from, but I'll take it! Love that sweet boy.
Mamaw has been here since the end of December, and the kids are enjoying spending time with her. She's been taking good care of Aiden and Lexie while Julia and I are at school.
