Spring Break in Berlin!

We spent the first weekend of Spring Break in Berlin. We left on Friday April 3rd, Julia's actual birthday, and headed to an indoor resort outside of Berlin called Tropical Islands. The weather is finally starting to get nice, but only a month or so ago it was still snowing! We spent all of Friday at Tropical Islands, which was great. There was a beach, a lagoon, water slides, a kids' play area, a tropical rain forest, all inside this huge enclosure. The kids had so much fun and it was nice not to have to deal with jackets for a change!
Saturday we drove to Berlin to go sight-seeing. We got to see very little, however, because we had a bit of an accident. Most of you reading this already know the story, but for those who don't, I will make a long story short: Lexie bumped her head on the sidewalk very hard, and we ended up taking her to the ER. We were very lucky that some kind strangers helped us out and of course, that Lexie is just fine. Berlin will still be there next time! :)
