As you can see from this video, our Lexie is no longer a baby. :( She is a full-fledged toddler and so proud to be one! She is very very independent, much more so than Julia and Aiden. She can be either outgoing and shy, depending on her mood that day. Some days she says "Hi!" to every person we pass and gives them a big smile....other days if someone talks to her, she buries her head in our shoulder and mutters "uh-uh" You never know what you're going to get with Lexie.
Everyone at her school loves her....she is well-known by all the staff. She moved up to the toddler class, Aiden's old class in May and is doing quite well. We're happy that one of her infant room teachers, Ms. Fatija is going to be joining her class since Ms. Denise (Aiden's fav) and her family are moving back to the States. Lexie is pretty sure Ms. Fatija walks on water, so this will be icing on the cake as far as her adjustment to her new environment goes. She misses Ms. Tonja from the Infant class, but is now having fun with Ms. Carolyn. She lets Ms. Carolyn put pigtails in her hair....when Mommy puts them in, she pulls them right out!!
Lexie really enjoyed Aiden's t-ball practices and games this Spring. She enjoys hitting the ball off of our tee in the backyard and then running to whatever the kids have decided is base....it's really cute. I've gotta get that on video too. She's so funny, she thinks that not only do you hit the ball off the tee, you also should knock the tee over. :)
She's sleeping in a toddler bed now, climbs stairs like a pro, swings on swings, climbs ladders, loves slides and the outdoors. She talks talks talks, all day long, as you can see in the clip. She loves Julia, whom she calls "Ya-ya"...and "Ya ya" is her standby name for everyone, if she can't pronounce it, your name is "Ya ya." She is very stubborn and opinionated and thinks everything in the house belongs to her, but we love her so much, and she makes us laugh all the time!
So please enjoy this video. I'm going to get one up of Aiden and Julia too, and update you on them in their own posts. :)
