Daddy's Home

Wally is home! We're all so happy to just hang out together again, it's so great. Aiden and Julia were so excited, it was the cutest thing. Lexie has done pretty well, considering how long it's been. She's getting so big, I can't believe she's almost six months old. She's such a sweet baby, so good and so happy. She had an ear infection this week, so she's on antibiotics for that, but otherwise she's doing well.
The first half of my intership was great; I fell in love with my sixth graders! I really enjoy teaching the older kids. Now I've moved to another school and I'm in a first grade class for the rest of the semester. It's a hard step back down, I grew to love the more independent work that older students are able to do. I like teaching more challenging subjects. And I guess with three young children at home, it's nice to teach kids who can tie their own shoes and wipe their own noses and put on their own jackets. I think I want to stick with the intermediate grades.

We're still waiting to get the official word, but it looks like a move back to Germany is what's in store for the future. I'm really excited, I loved our time there. I think it will be so great for the kids and the best part is that it will be a non-deployable job. I love knowing that, aside from the occasional short trip, our family will be together for the next three years!

Julia is continuing to learn a lot in school...she's sounding out many three and four letter words. We're so proud of her. Aiden is talking even more. He's so tall and finally has all of his teeth....he looks like such a little boy now. Lexie is rolling over and babbling like crazy. She can't wait until she can talk. She's also just beginning to try baby food. She's had rice cereal with bananas a couple of times, but she just kind of looks at me like "what is this?" We're working on it slowly!
Until next time... :)

So glad your family is whole again! Its always a good thing. Thats really good news about Germany too! Very exciting for everyone. Such an experience for the kids - wow!
Good for you for liking the older kids. That is where I can't stand them. Once they hit third, yikes! I love the younger ones. Good luck with the rest of the semester!

It's wonderful that you guys are back together again and even better to hear that the next assignment is non-deployable. We look forward to seeing you guys soon, I hope!
