Saturday was our day at Animal Kingdom. This was the BEST day of our trip! The kids are big animal lovers, so they were in heaven. We went on a safari type ride and saw many animals roaming around, just like they would in the wild. It was so neat. We walked through exhibits and saw mice, frogs, lizard, birds, fish, and snakes. We also saw tigers, parrots, deer, zebras, rhinos, and elephants. We went to a bird show, where we saw a bald eagle and a hawk. Wally got to participate in one of the tricks by holding a dollar in his hand....a bird came and took the money out of his hand and then brought it back to him. The kids loved that. Julia's favorite ride was the river rapids. She ended up riding it SIX times! You get soaked, and she thought it was a blast. It WAS really fun. She rode it twice at first...once with Daddy and once with me. Then a few hours later we saw that the line was only 10 mins, so she and I rode again. When it was time to get off, they were asking people if they wanted to stay on because there was no one in line, so we did. Then Wally and I traded places and he also rode with her two more times. Needless to say, we were all soaked when we left the park. Aiden was just a hair too short to ride, but had fun on the bridge watching the rafts go by and waving to us. He was so good on the trip.
On Sunday we kept a promise we had made to Julia. Back in October we had gone to Downtown Disney and she'd seen girls getting makeovers at the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique. These are MEGA makeovers: glittery makeup, princess hairdo (bun with a crown or colorful extensions), choice of a princess dress, shoes, wand, etc. Wally and I promised her we would come back before her birthday so she could do it. She loved it and had the time of her life. She looked so beautiful! Our house and van are covered in glitter, but it was all worth it! Even Lexie has glitter in her (little bit of) hair and on her feet and no matter how much I bathe her, it won't go away!
Anyway, that's a little bit about our trip. We're all doing well and looking forward to Easter. Wally has to go on a short trip next week to Jacksonville. Nothing new there. We are still waiting on our orders for the next job, and starting to work on paperwork for that. We're looking forward on our probable move back to Europe! :)
